2 X 26 = 52 ? Fulp's "normal" number was 26.


9/5/1965 Daytona Fla, Paul Whiteman Challenge Cup, 1st Cm class, 1st overall.

This was an SCCA race. Probably run as a tune up for Bridgehampton.

Steering came loose in race, he tried to keep going, but finally had to come in, when he reached pit road, it failed totally and he bumped the wall with the right front wheel.

Walt Hansgen was running ahead of Fulp but his car broke before Fulp had trouble, he was waiting in pits to take over Fulp's Lola to gain points.

My Mk 1 kept as a spare car, transported in Fulp's large truck/trailer transport.


END OF 1966 SEASON

Lola sold to Fred Baker, Baker Racing Team


1971

Sold to Bill Krueger of Northridge, Southern California

Engine was shot, installed new engine and upgraded roll bar.

Tested car in a Lancaster CA subdivision, only roads, no houses were built yet.

Drove it at Riverside SCCA driver's school 1973?

Dropped LR wheel off the pavement and LR was torn away, damaged LR tub and radiator.


1974

Placed ad in Autoweek, sold to David Pozzi


1978

Restored by David Pozzi, first driven at an autocross in Salinas, Ca.

Ran SCCA solo 1 events, then eventually Historic races 1978 to present.
